I started out up to my neck in cow gum and parallel rule desks, and now I'm doing the same thing with Macs and SprayMount. Certainly, I'm still capable of knocking out the odd creative concept, but freelancers tend to catch the overflow work rather than the "fun" work. No worries! I've been there, done that. These days, I'm just as happy doing product sheets and pack mock-ups as campaign presentations. Any graphics person with a Mac has to master Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as the DTP apps. Freelance illustrators and photographers are dropping like flies. |
